On the 26th April 2008, a small group of mountain bikers will be taking to the roads of Wales with the aim to raise money for two worthy causes: The Welsh Air Ambulance and Ty Hafan Hospice.
The organiser, Seb, giving it his all in a 24hr bike race.
We aim to raise £2,500 for the Wales Air Ambulance and the same amount for the Ty Hafan the Children’s Hospice in Wales.
We plan to cycle 226 miles, from the tip of Anglesey to Cardiff…in one day!!! It’s anticipated that it will take between 12 and 18 hours depending on weather conditions, mechanicals and other events along the way. Although we’re all experienced cyclists, this is sure to be tough.
Participants are providing their own support vehicle and supplies so that all money raised will go directly to the chosen charities. Please donate by following the links on the top left. If you're a UK tax-payer, remember to click on the "gift aid" option; it won’t cost you any more but the government will give extra money (equivalent to 28% of your donation) to the charities.
